In a welcome return to pre-pandemic form, Singapore Airlines will resume its full schedule between London Heathrow (LHR) and Singapore’s Changi Airport from June 2, 2022. Using a combination of B777-300ER, A380-800 and A350-900 aircraft, four flights a day will wing their way in both directions between the two cities from the first Thursday in June.
Four flights a day in either direction
Schedules will inevitably change, but here’s how Singapore Airlines’ London flights are shaping up so far for early June. Departing London Heathrow (LHR) are two flights in the morning and two evening flights. All ex-LHR Singapore Airlines flights will operate as vaccinated travel lane (VTL) flights by June. First up in the day, SQ305 leaves Heathrow’s Terminal 2 at 09:25. Operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, SQ305 lands in Singapore (SIN) at 05:30 the next day.
Next up, SQ317 departs London Heathrow at 11:25. The flight lands in Singapore at a more civilised 07:30 the next day after 13 hours plus in the air. SQ317 is operated by one of SQ’s crackerjack Airbus A380-800s.
Fast forward to mid-evening, and SQ319 leaves London at 20:50. Operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, this flight lands in Singapore at 16:55 the following day – a good arrival time for hotel check-ins, dinner, and a solid sleep to counter the jetlag. The last Singapore Airlines departure out of London is SQ321. Operated by an Airbus A350-900, the 22:05 push back sees the plane arrive in Singapore at 18:10 the next day.

The nitty-gritty on the four London-bound flights
London-bound Singapore Airlines flights cluster around mid to late morning departures and the traditional midnight departures that fill up with connecting traffic from those mid-evening arrivals in Singapore. The first London departure of the day from June 2 is SQ306 which departs Singapore at 01:10. A Boeing 777-300ER aircraft operates the 13 and a half hour flight up to London, arriving there at 07:45 on the same morning.
The second London-bound departure is SW308. Leaving at 09:00 and also operated by a Boeing 777-300ER, the flight lands in Heathrow at 15:40 on the same day. SIA’s third departure of the day to LHR is the 12:35 SQ318 A350-900 flight that touches down at 19:15 on the same day.
Singapore’s A380-800 operates the last London-bound departure of the day. SQ322 leaves Singapore at 23:30 and gets you into London in time for breakfast the next day, landing at 05:55.

New Singapore Airlines/Loganair interline agreement
In addition to restoring Heathrow flight to pre-pandemic frequencies, Singapore Airlines has signed an interline agreement with Glasgow-based Loganair. Under the agreement’s terms, passengers can now transfer onto Singapore Airlines’ long-haul flights from Manchester (MAN) and London Heathrow from their local airport through a single booking.
The interline agreement covers seven Loganair routes, including Isle of Man, Inverness, and Aberdeen to Manchester and Isle of Man and Teesside to Heathrow. The majority of the routes allow seamless connections on and off Singapore Airlines flights to or from Singapore. However, the Aberdeen to Manchester interline agreement also taps into Singapore’s Manchester – Houston flights.
A lot can change in three months, but presently passengers travelling to Singapore under VTL arrangements (including those from the UK) are no longer required to quarantine on arrival – only having to undergo a supervised rapid antigen test within 24 hours of arrival in Singapore at one of the city’s testing facilities. At the time of writing, there are reports Singapore will drop its VTL program in favor of allowing free-flow travel in and out of the city-state for vaccinated travelers.
